Sophisticated Bibs

It's Shameless Commerce Tuesday, and today I'm giving you a sneak preview of a custom order in progress.
My mission was to create "sophisticated bibs" using gray or black, and nothing pink or cutesy.  The mom-to-be is from Sweden, so I chose some beautiful Lotta Jansdotter fabrics with a Scandinavian flair:

And here is another bib featuring Lotta Jansdotter fabrics:

I've been making a big batch of boutique baby bibs (how's that for an alliterative phrase?)...so stay tuned for more unique baby bibs with barely a hint of pink or blue.   I hope to have some of them photographed and listed later this week.  (It IS tax season!!)

All bibs are made using a Mod Tods bib pattern, and they are reversible, so it is like getting 2 bibs for the price of one!   I use capped metal snaps -- no Velcro to catch in baby's fine hair.  A layer of preshrunk cotton flannel is sandwiched between the layers for extra absorbency.

To see more of my boutique baby bibs, visit the Baby Bibs section of my Etsy shop, Pasque Flower Creations.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Shameless commerce Tuesday - that's a funny/great title! I somehow missed the title last week - I think I was too distraced by the red purse and thinking about how perfect it would be with several of my dresses!

    1. Thanks, Natasha! I try to limit my blatant self-promotion to a weekly Shameless Commerce Tuesday post. I love that red retro clutch, too.

  4. Your bibs look great! I think neutrals are a big trend right now for baby decor. I'm seeing a lot gray and yellows together, so these will do well :)

    1. Thanks, Edi. I bought some extra, so I will be able to list some after I complete the custom order. Who knew gray would become a baby color?
But you're right--that IS the trend!

    1. Thanks, Paige! That's actually front and back of the reversible bib. (Since I made 2, I could photograph this way.)

  11. If only the bib had a catch crumber it would have been great.

    1. Your bibs are perfect for toddlers, Angela. My bibs are for little babies --and milk doesn't leave crumbs :-).
