Mid Winter Blahs

As February approaches, I find myself sinking into the mid-Winter blahs, even though this has been an unseasonably mild Winter by Midwestern standards.

I am reminded of the words of Albert Camus:
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.

Perhaps I was trying to tap into that inner invincible summer when I chose this sunny yellow fabric with whimsical flowers designed by Amy Schimler for Robert Kaufman for one of my latest boutique baby bib listings.  The reverse side features dainty yellow and white checked Carolina gingham.  A lovely baby gift, or a special occasion bib for baby's first birthday or Easter.

I have listed more new bibs this week.  To browse, please visit this section of my Etsy shop:

It's still tax I'll catch you later!

  1. I love the quote! I get the winter blues every year, and just like you, I always combat it with a healthy dose of yellow: Yellow paint, yellow tablecloths, yellow tea towels. Anything to brighten up those grey days. :)

  2. I do wish Spring would hurry up and get here!

  3. It's so very pretty!
And , yes, some spring would be so good right about now....

    Have a great day!

  4. Your bib turned out adorable. But I am jealous of you having that fabric already. Mine has been on order for months now. :O)

  5. That fabric is just what February needs ~ a great big dose of sunshine ^_^! Happy taxing!

  6. I love the cheerful colors of the bib, it does perk one up to see the pretty bright colors

  7. Very cheerful happy colors, adorable bib! Love the quote, and I'm ready for spring to arrive!! :)

  8. I've been loving our mild winter! 60 degrees in January...I'll take it!
And those colors make the day even brighter :)
