Quilts of Valor

I am forwarding a You Tube video link.  This moving tribute to the men and women in the military was produced by
15-year-old Lizzie Palmer.  http://www.youtube.com/v/ervaMPt4Ha0&autoplay=1

It brought tears to my eyes, and a new resolve to finish my Quilts of Valor blocks.  My small group is making a welcome home
quilt which will be given to a disabled veteran or a military family.  Several high quality quilt fabric companies have developed special fabric lines with Quilts of Valor in mind.  For more information go to:  http://www.qovf.org/

  2. I was so moved by the video, I hope it is ok if I use it on my next blog. Bear Stitches' web site donates a part of their profits to Homes for Our Troops, an organization that builds homes for disabled vets....so this video is very meaningful to us. Also, I love to quilt (just spent the day at the Vermont Quilt Show ). Today I bought fabric to do a Civil War Quilt, I want to remember the soldiers during the 150th anniversary of the war...going to Gettysburg this week. I will look into Quilts of Valor and share with my quilters' guild. I will also check out your Etsy shop. So sorry this is so long...we've much in common...last thing...purple is my favorite color !
