It's Shameless Commerce Tuesday, and today I'm featuring one of my newly listed 16" x 16" envelope backed pillow covers made of high quality 100% cotton home dec weight fabric (circa 1990). The fabric was one of my great finds at the Hillestad Gallery fabric and fiber sale. http://pasqueflowerponderings.blogspot.com/2012/08/fabric-nirvana-650.html. The fabric is SO soft -- like a comfortable old pair of jeans.
My kids grew up listening to grunge bands like Nirvana -- and this colorful fabric seemed to have an early 90s grunge vibe. I loved the mix of colors with just a hint of gold metallic thread:
This pillow cover would be perfect for a teen's room, rec room, or dorm. It is constructed with serged seams, reinforced with an extra row of straight line machine stitiching. It will be able to withstand launderings and pillow fights. To see this and other pillow covers, visit this section of my Etsy shop, Pasque Flower Creatiosn: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pasqueflower?section_id=8079949.

Fun fabric...I would have loved this as a kid! And I was a fan of Nirvana too :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look like the start of an art journal page! Love all the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteI love those colors! I think a pillow was the perfect choice for the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI actually love that fabric! We have some artwork in our living room that looks similar to that.
ReplyDeleteFun pillow, the colors are awesome! I love the line "great for pillow fights", good selling point.

ReplyDeletewow. i love the colors. it's so funny... i was working on my september treasury and the 1st one was based around the pillow and a pair of earrings from Random Creative but I couldn't find enough of the right colors for the bbartisan. i'd design a room around this pillow. :)
