White Christmas

Today we had six inches of heavy wet snow, which makes even drab little houses look like something out of Currier & Ives.

There's something magical about snow.  When my son Jeff was little, he saw glistening snow and said, "Look!  Diamonds in the snow!!"

So perhaps it was the snow that caused me to revise my To Do List after a busy day at the tax office.  I decided to move "write Christmas cards" to the top of the list.

I could almost hear Bing Crosby crooning, "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, with every Christmas card I write."

  1. Kudos for tackling a task that many people put off til the last minute! You got them done while it was still a pleasure and not a duty. I love the diamonds in the snow visual from your son. :)

  2. I saw Lincoln and Omaha got hit pretty hard! We got lucky down here and only got a dusting.
There's something about the snow though that does make it feel more like Christmas season :)

  3. Christmas is the only time I like snow! It's pretty to look at but I don't like dealing with it!

  4. Oh no! You said the "S" word! We don't like that word. Thanks for reminding me to do my Christmas cards. It's raining here and this would be a good day to get that done.

  5. Yep, it has been snowing a TON here lately. I love it:) Put up all my Christmas decorations too!

  6. Reminder to me, get Christmas cards out this week. No snow here in Ohio yet. (:
