Shameless Chevrons

It's Shameless Commerce Tuesday, and today I'm featuring a new listing from the Kitschy Kitchen Stuff section of my Etsy shop, Pasque Flower Creations.  These gray chevron oven mitts are the latest in my chevron oven mitts line.  I use high quality 100% cotton chevron fabrics by Riley Blake, with coordinating polka dots for the lining, binding and hanging loop.  The inner layers are: heat-resistant InsulBright batting, Warm & Natural cotton batting, and preshrunk cotton flannel.

The chevrons mitts have been "a real hot item" as Garrison Keillor of A Prairie Home Companion might say.  Lots of zigging and zagging going on here!!

For those of you who sew, you can appreciate all the stopping  and pivoting that is required to quilt each side of the mitt.   It also takes extra time to try to match the design at the side seams.  For those of you who don't sew --- the closest analogy I can think of is driving in stop and go traffic.

I also have chevron mitts available in red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, and brown.  I will soon add navy and multi-colored chevron listings.

Signing off to go sew.

  1. Another great color for the chevron! And I can imagine how long these take to quilt along all those zig zags!
