It's A Jungle Out There
It's Shameless Commerce Tuesday, and today I'm sharing another recent custom order - a jungle print bib and burp cloth set made with Sweet Safari 100% organic cotton fabric designed by Alyssa Thomas of Penguin & Fish for Clothworks. I used preshrunk cotton flannel for the reverse side of the burp cloths, with a layer of needled Warm & Natural cotton batting between the front and back layers.
Because these items will be a new baby gift, I also included a gift tag, made by stitching a scrap of the fabric to card stock.
My big custom oven mitt order is in the mail. I took photos of some of the mitts to use as part of my application for a juried craft show this Fall (early application deadline is April 30).
I have so many other mitts I want to sew and list before Mother's Day.
T minus 13 days until the end of tax season and counting . . . It's a jungle at the tax office, too!

Love the bright orange fabric! And the sets are a great idea. The little tag is such a sweet finishing touch :)
ReplyDeleteWooHoo for the finished oven mitts and for the countdown for tax season!
Very cute baby sets. I love, love, love those bright and cheery oven mitts!
ReplyDeleteI'm not an orange person but I really do like this orange fabric! And what a cute idea for a tag too.
ReplyDeleteYour mitts are so cool and I hope you get accepted for the show.
Great colors - chasing away the last little bit of winter, for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove the tangerine colors!
